Frequently Asked Questions

Do your services cost families anything?

Many placement services are provided at no cost to families. In those cases, communities compensate us after placement. If care management or advocacy services are needed, those are discussed transparently in advance so there are no surprises.

How do you decide which communities to recommend?

We’ve personally vetted all of the communities we recommend.  We then provide  a personalized assessment of medical needs, cognitive changes, safety concerns, and family goals. Recommendations are based on clinical appropriateness, environmental fit, and quality — not simply availability.

How quickly can placement happen?

Every situation is different. In urgent cases, placement can sometimes occur within days. In other situations, families prefer a slower, more deliberate timeline. We adjust to your circumstances. It’s often easier to make a decision when it’s not urgent so planning ahead is encouraged.

What is the difference between Assisted Living and Memory Care?

Assisted living supports daily needs such as medication management, meals, and mobility and may be appropriate for those with Mild Cognitive Impairment. Memory care provides a more structured environment with trained staff for individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Do you attend tours with families?

Yes. When helpful, we can coordinate and accompany families on tours to ensure questions are answered and decisions are made with confidence.

What if my loved one refuses help?

Resistance is common. We help families navigate these conversations with dignity and practical strategies while prioritizing safety. Please visit our Care Management and Advocacy page for more information.

Do you provide support after placement?

Yes. Our relationship does not end at move-in. Care management and advocacy services are available when additional support is needed.
